There is Nothing Simpler than this 5 watt 40 meter QRP CW transmitter
It has only 14 components to install: 3 resistors, 7 capacitors, 1 inductor, 2 transistors, and a crystal, plus 4 built-in spiral coils, so no torroids to wind. It's a great first-time build!
